Nelly Doug

Published by Kim at 12:02 am under Documentary,Newfoundland

During my trip to Lumsden last week I visited Nelly and her husband. I remember only one thing about Nelly from when I was a child – she would pinch my cheeks ’till my face hurt.

Those are nice pictures of Nelly and her husband, I like Nelly she was so nice to me when I was dating her grand daughter(Aimee). You have relatives in lumsden, don’t you Kim?

    Hi Kim,
Are you Dave’s daughter? Mom showed me a photo a few days ago of your grandmother when she was 20-ish. You may already have it.

That’s me! Apparently it’s not hard to tell either, people just walk up to me and say
    “you’re Daves’s daughter”.

I don’t have that picture Rex but would love to see it.

The next time I visit Mom, I will borrow her original. You may be able to copy it professionally. I have already scanned it, but you can do better. My dad, Clayton, your mom’s first cousin, is in the photo with her.

I have the photo. B/W ca 1945 so not perfect but you may be able to do something to sharpen it up. I’m out Lumsden now, and the photo is at my place in St. John’s. I’ll be back on the 16th and we’ll arrange for you to get it. Emily and Vince are at home in St. John’s… 364-5926… photo is in the middle of my desk so either one of them would see it there… 34 Spratt Place.
