Grad Season
.
May 09 2008
Much like yesterday, this one was largely conventional Grad pictures. Again, two graduates, but this time University.
Anyway, I did so many Grads last week that I could literally go on for about a month, but I sense the boredom.
So… what’s up next? Weddings. A whole lotta Weddings.

Today’s shots are sort of the exception to “Kim’s Non-Grad Grad Shoot” rule that I mentioned a few days ago. I basically only got a chance to do gown shots with this girl, as there was more than one graduate present. She did a great job.

You can’t really tell the guy to get lost while you do a modeling session with the girl. It’s great when the guys are into just as much… understandably, that doesn’t happen every time.

So the Grads this season are split about 50 / 50 between High School and University. One thing that is almost universal though is the desire on the part of the subjects to have some “non-Grad” style shots done – something I encourage and look forward too. Frankly, there’s only so much you can do with a half dozen poses – so it’s sorta like… when the gown comes off, the fun starts.
Well when I put it that way, it sounds bad… but you get the idea.

As I said before, it didn’t take long to get the few required Grad shots when Aimee came over earlier this week. She’s very comfortable in front of the camera, being a former Miss Newfoundland and Labrador.
After a short session with the gown, it was time to have a little more fun.

I’ve quickly got into the swing of things this week with many many Grads. There were a good few of these last year, but word-of-mouth working as it does, this year they’re gone mad. The girls, as with Chantelle here, are stunning and love getting their picture taken.

As I say, I’ve been working on them all this week, and have been editing Chantelle’s session all day. I decided to take a break and post a few shots… there’ll be more from this one later tonight.

A few photos from a shoot I did with Aimee and her boyfriend. It started out as a Grad shoot, then one thing led to another…
