Words of wisdom
NEVER put a boiled egg in the microwave!

One week into 2012 and I’m thinking about what resolution to stick too, last year I think it was “go with the flow more”, the year before was “complain less”, this year is a toss up between
work less, have more fun or get ripped at the gym. I have the will power of Charlie Sheen so the gym thing might not work out, any suggestions as to what to do?
Here’s a couple shots from an engagement shoot I did last week before all the lovely white stuff melted.

These are the faces behind everything you see on the website or in my blog. I needed to update the photos on the “About Us” page, I only had a few snap shots that a couple of clients had emailed me over the last season. So… we went down to the studio today and had some fun.

I dropped down to Terry Rice’s studio today and noticed this cute little fruit
hanging out on his desk.
Perhaps a leftover from a still life photography class
or leftovers from his lunch, either way I took this picture.
I rather like it!

I’ve added another new gallery to the Kim Goodyear site entitled “My Ultimate Faves”,
I’ll be featuring highlighted images from some of my favorite shoots throughout the season.
I’m hoping to totally change the content in this gallery on a monthly basis,
featuring something different every time throughout the upcoming year.

I just spent the last day and a half moving 10 feet! I’m now in the front apartment and LOVING it.
I’m also glad to say I’ve finally got space for a studio again, so no complaints, though my back is killing me. ;)

It was about this time last year that my parents decided they had enough with work.
Now… when most people retire, they downsize. Not these guys. They upsized to what can be best described as a ski lodge. So why a bigger place? Trust me, there are certainly no grandkids on the way.
Anyway, me mudder decorated the ski lodge herself, and even this harsh critic has to admit – she did an outstanding job.
The new place is not yet complete… they’re still doing work. This particular fact was not entirely known by my significant other while we planned the visit, but was abundantly clear immediately upon arrival. Randy spent the weekend “on loan” to my father – toiling on some household electrical and equipment hookups… good minion that he is.
But any praise of mom’s decorating has to be considered alongside the disclosure that there are creepy elements within the house. I don’t know how else to say this – there are little dolls around every corner – carefully selected to fit the mood. My first exposure to them was upon laying down my suitcase. There, meeting my gaze were those two… sitting back… plotting… Waiting For Me.
Oh God, I pray to thee this not be the start of a large collection.
